Mair
(pronounced My-er)

Mair is often referred to as Smee. Hey, everyone needs a nickname ! lol

In 1995 I went to the R.S.P.C.A. to have a look around. Whilst I was there I experienced love at first sight. There behind the glass and all alone was Mair. My life has never been the same since. Boyfriends, fiancé's and some friends have come and gone, but Mair is always here for me :-)

The picture below was taken a few days after she entered my life. The black collar was short lived - I found her walking 3 legged around the lounge one day with the other leg tangled up in the collar that has jammed in her mouth ! Ok, so she's not been blessed with brains ! lol

The picture below, which I like to call "Face of an angel" was also taken in 1995. She still has that cushion, but struggles to fit on it these days ! lol
I have to say at this point a big SORRY to Sean. His leather sofa was ruined by Mair's sharp little nails.

Don't get me wrong, Mair doesn't always sleep, but the picture below doesn't help me prove that fact. This is Mair on the window ledge of my lounge when I had seriously bad curtains !!

Mair likes to sleep under a duvet or blanket & I suppose that using a curtain is the next best thing.

Cats hate water right ? Well, not ALL cats. Mair enjoys walking up & down the edge of the bath when I'm in. She has a favourite ball that she likes to play water polo with. When you mix wet paws with a shiny bath edge, you often end up with Mair having an unplanned bath !!

When I pull the plug it's Mair's cue to jump in the bath, sometimes the water is deeper than she thinks !! lol

Below is a picture of Mair (and "ballie"), she had been drinking the drips from the tap until the camera came out.

Mair has been heard on Mplayer many times. I had to stop using a headset microphone because she found it a wonderful toy !! Phil has a habit of shouting "Mair" whenever he's supposed to be chatting to me & she comes running to the speakers !! As she has never met Phil, I can only suggest that it's his friendly Irish accent that she finds so appealing :-)

Below is a collage of Mair pictures that I have at the top of my stairs.

I am met at my door by her ever day. She sleeps on my bed every night. She is and always has been the most important part of my life.

Mair gives me unconditional love - what more could I ask of her
